Even after completing 10-16 years of secondary or tertiary education, millions of young Pakistanis graduate without the essential knowledge, tools and skills required to succeed in the 21st century. These include language proficiency and the ability to communicate effectively, digital literacy, and an entrepreneurial mindset to create alternatives to limited job options in an emerging economy. Making matters worse, most young people have nowhere to turn for career guidance or support in charting out viable paths. Neither schools, nor homes, nor after-school tutors offer this.
Limited access to essential knowledge and skills is a huge barrier to human agency that holds millions back from achieving upward socioeconomic mobility. There is a glaring need to democratize 21st century skills, making high quality skill development affordable and accessible to anyone who wants it. Beaj Education aims to tackle this challenge by creating high-quality, affordable, technology-based educational products that the Pakistani market currently does not offer.
